Selecting the Country for the Internal ThinkPad Modem

To use the internal ThinkPad modem outside the country where you purchased the computer, you must change the country name.

1. In the Windows 98 desktop, click on Start and move the cursor to Settings and click on Control Panel. Then double-click on Modems.

2. Click on Dialing Properties.

   The Dialing Properties window appears:
   
   

3. Select the country where you are using the modem and set other dialing options; then click on OK.
